Tag I'm it......

OK, so Lisa was tagged by one of her friends and now she has tagged me. This is a cute little game to find out things about your family or friends that you don't know. I have to list 7 things about myself (you may know them or you may not, who knows) so here goes.....

  1. I love to cook and bake, I just don't have enough time to do it everyday with the kids having ball practice and games all the time.
  2. I love to have people over. I am a big people person and I love to be around people, especially my friends and family.
  3. I love to have parties. I am having a tastefully simple party again, soon I hope. I will let you know the date and time.
  4. I am so tired of all the days that the school closes. If the schools would stay open the kids and the teachers would get a longer summer. I know the teachers need time off every once in a while, so I am not against being off for holidays and a weather day here and there. But From October to December St Clair County schools will be closed for 17 days. That is crazy. Do they really need 2 weeks at Christmas time? Come on now- ok I am off my soap box now.
  5. I love therapy, Retail therapy that is. What is retail therapy? Well let me tell you, it is when you go shopping. For example, Trenity and I have retail therapy by going to eat (Usually Panera Bread) , Hobby Lobby (to buy scrap booking stuff) and then to KK (Krispy Kreme). That is our Retail Therapy. you should try it. It really is a lot of fun- no kids allowed.
  6. I am a good listener. I can listen to you if you ever need to vent, or cry, or just talk to someone that will NOT judge you.
  7. I dont deal well with stupidity.
Hope you have learned something about me, if you want to know anything else, just ask.

Um, I tag Jennifer.

Hollie, oh Hollie

Today after church before we left home to go to Hollie's game she decided she wanted to make her fingers look pretty. So she found a BLACK PERMANENT MARKER and made her finger nails really pretty for me. Do you know how hard that is to get off of fingernails.....OMG....

She has been playing catcher in her last few games and really seems to like playing that position. She is getting better at hitting the ball too.

The things kids do......

Ok, So at daycare Hollie's class has been learning about 911. When to call, why to call, and they have a phone (one that doesn't work) that they use to practice with in class. She has been talking about it at home. Well, tonight- the kids went to my moms house for a few hours while Jeff and I went to eat for our anniversary. When I got there to pick up Hollie, my mom informed me of what Hollie had done. My mom lets the kids (Trenton, Hollie and Jaxson) play with her old cell phones- can you see where this is going yet???? So as they are playing, Hollie is talking to Kathy- mom and Trenton think she is just pretending like ALWAYS- So here is the conversation:
hey Kathy, this is Hollie, I am 4, my brother is Trenton and he is 9. She keeps talking for about 6-9 minutes- blah, blah, blah- just talking to Kathy. Well, Hollie says hear Trenton talk to Kathy. Trenton realizes Kathy is a REAL LIVE person, so he says Nay-nay she is really talking to someone. At this point Hollie snatches the phone from Trenton, runs down the hall to be tackled by Trenton so that he can get the phone away from her. my moms apologizes to Kathy for Hollie accidentally call her.

My mom didn't realize that even WITHOUT the SIM card you can still make emergency phone calls on a cell phone. BIG LESSON LEARNED. So I had to explain to Hollie that we don't just call 911 just to talk. I had to make sure she understood it was for emergencies ONLY. (I explained what emergencies where).
