The things kids do......

Ok, So at daycare Hollie's class has been learning about 911. When to call, why to call, and they have a phone (one that doesn't work) that they use to practice with in class. She has been talking about it at home. Well, tonight- the kids went to my moms house for a few hours while Jeff and I went to eat for our anniversary. When I got there to pick up Hollie, my mom informed me of what Hollie had done. My mom lets the kids (Trenton, Hollie and Jaxson) play with her old cell phones- can you see where this is going yet???? So as they are playing, Hollie is talking to Kathy- mom and Trenton think she is just pretending like ALWAYS- So here is the conversation:
hey Kathy, this is Hollie, I am 4, my brother is Trenton and he is 9. She keeps talking for about 6-9 minutes- blah, blah, blah- just talking to Kathy. Well, Hollie says hear Trenton talk to Kathy. Trenton realizes Kathy is a REAL LIVE person, so he says Nay-nay she is really talking to someone. At this point Hollie snatches the phone from Trenton, runs down the hall to be tackled by Trenton so that he can get the phone away from her. my moms apologizes to Kathy for Hollie accidentally call her.

My mom didn't realize that even WITHOUT the SIM card you can still make emergency phone calls on a cell phone. BIG LESSON LEARNED. So I had to explain to Hollie that we don't just call 911 just to talk. I had to make sure she understood it was for emergencies ONLY. (I explained what emergencies where).
