SInce returning home

Since I was off work for the last week of July and the first week of August, I told Lisa that I would keep Jaxson for her. The lady that was keeping him decided that she was not going to keep kids anymore. So Lisa was taking Jaxson to work with her everyday because she was having trouble finding a daycare. She found a daycare and he starts next week. So, I kept my little buddy and we had a good time. He was very good. The first week the kids were home with us and we all had a good time. The second week Trenton and Hollie went to daycare on Monday, Trenton went on Tuesday and on Wednesday we went swimming at Nana and Pop-pop's for one last hurrah before school started. Trentiy and Corbin went with us and we had a lot of fun. Then school started on Thursday for both Trenton and Hollie.

Last Saturday we went to Nana and Pop-pop's to swim and Hollie decided that she wanted to be a big girl and swim with out her floaties. So, she took them off and before I knew it she was swimming under water back and forth from the steps to me. It was great. I was so proud of her. She was proud of herself as well. So on Wednesday when we went back to swim at Nana and Pop-pop's she swam underwater to me more and did a great job. Next year she will start off with out floaties and we will see how she does.

Thursday, Trenton started 4th grade and Hollie started 4k. Trenton was a little nervous about moving up to the middle school. He was no longer the big kid at school, he was back to the baby at school. Plus the new rules, he was just nervous. But he made it through the day just fine, with no problems. Hollie started off her first two days in 4k on green light. They are both happy so far and loving school--- so far. Lets see how long that lasts.

So, I start back to work on Monday and I am ready. I was glad to have the time off, but I am now ready to go back to work. So on Monday, it is back to the old routine. Yea!

Get a way weekend

So this past weekend Jeff, the kids and I decided to go to Jennifer and Brian's in Lawrenceville GA. We left on Thursday night and came home on Sunday afternoon. We had a lot of fun. Saturday-- Jennifer Hannah, Sera, Sophia, Kacey, Hollie and I went to the CPK Hospital (Cabbage Patch Kids). Is sooo fun. All the girls had a great time. They all picked out a CPK to take home. Oh yea- this is weird- Hannah and Hollie picked out their CPK at different times and from different ends of the store, however, the managed to get a CPK with the same first name, Katlyn, yea Katlyn- there is not 'i'. How weird is that.



Anyway. We also took the kids (all but Sera and Sophia) to see the fish get fed at the BPS (Bass Pro Shop) they enjoyed that as well.



All the kids played very well with each other- It was so nice to get away for a few days. We really had a great time at Jennifer and Brian's house. We are going to plan to go down next summer for a longer period of time (hopefully a week).

Lanehart 3 in 1 bday party/Fish Fry

Ok, so Sera and Sophia's bday is July 19 and Hannah's bday is July 27th so Jennifer, Brian and the girls came to bham this weekend for a 3 in 1 bday party. Well, we decided that since the whole family would be there that we would have our annual fish fry. So here is how the day went, everyone went to the pool first (of course), then it was lunch time, so we ate sandwiches, then back to the pool, then it was time to eat fish, fries, and hush puppies, then it was cake and ice cream time, then present time, then back to the pool one last time. Spring Valley Beach

So we took the youth at church to Spring Valley Beach in Blountsville. It was a lot of fun, for everyone. We took ages 4-18, plus adults, it was sooo much fun for all of us. I'm back

Ok, So I know it has been a while since my last blog- Sorry- Let me catch you up to date.

My last blog was at the end of May when school was letting out- Since then:
We (the kids and me) went on a beach trip with the church youth group. We went to Laguna Beach Christian Retreat. We had a lot of fun. Trenton overcame a fear- he actually caught some sand crabs by his self. Usually he would have someone else catch them and put in his bucket. But this time, he caught a bunch of them on his own. Hollie loved the water and the sand- but HATED the seaweed. TOTAL meltdown at night while we were crab hunting. She was fine until the waves moved some of it- that was it for her. All the kids had a lot of fun. Here is a link to the photos...... there were a lot of pictures so there are two albums. OMG!!!!!

It is official- Trenton is a 4th grader and Hollie is in 4k effective August 2008.....MY BABIES ARE GROWING UP.

Trenton received 3, yes 3 awards at the award program for the 3rd grade yesterday. His awards were for the Watt Club that he was in, A/B Honor Roll all year (to be exact 2 A/B report cards and now 2 A reports cards- his last report card came home today- all A's.) and the last award for outstanding attendance. It seems like yesterday that I was dropping him off at school for the first day of kindergarten- I cried all day! He is so BIG- Here is a few pictures of him.

Hollie will be moving up to 4K in August. Such a BIG girl. I cant believe that in one more year she will be going to BIG school. Here are a few pictures of her.

Ok, I know it has been a long time since I blogged last, but nothing really exciting has been going on until now....

Trenton got his first in the park HOME RUN tonight. It was beautiful. He was so excited as well as his team and coaches and the parents in the stand of course. We ended up winning 27-13- Way to go Yankees!!!

School is almost out and both kids are ready for a break. This is the last week of school for Hollie and next week is the last week for Trenton, the 21st to be exact. He has an award ceremony coming up- if you want details- email me or send me a comment. The graduation program at Hollie's daycare is coming up- she is not graduating yet, but she is in the program- again if you want details- email me or send me a comment.

Other than that nothing much is going on- Just living at our second home- the ball park- with both kids playing it is crazy-
